The Great Western Sugar Company was Longmont Colorado’s top employer for most of factory’s 74-year lifespan, and doubled the towns population from 2,000 to more than 4,000 when it opened in 1903. It closed in the 1980’s and was left to decay becoming an Urban Legend in the area.
